Products for winter

Hello, my lovely readers.

Winter here in Latvia is being crazy this year and for now its been snowing from yesterday NONSTOP.....I'm not sure if I will be able to get out of house today ( we're not living in city).

This year have started a little bit crazy for me, with quarantine for the first 14 days and with all the moving to the house....but finally everything's at peace....if not for the wintery winter this year....

AND that's what we are going to talk about today.

Winter always been a stressful time for all of us, for our skins, hair and everything else.

After many years struggling with a horrible skin allergic from winter ( that's how I started to call it, because it only happened in the cold months) I have found the best products that helps me endure these months.

And I want to show them to you and maybe some will be good for you too.!

Let's start.

1. Vitamins

This feels weird, suggesting to drink vitamins, but from my own experience I can say that it is and will always be important.

And of course not only in winter time.

I always had the problem that when I start to drink vitamins, for a week or so it's all okay, and then I just completely forget about them.

This time it's different.

As I live in a country where most of the year it is not sunny, we all always have problems with vitamin D and this year I actually started to feel it. I had a critical low level of D vitamin... I had no choice but to drink it and actually remember to do it.

So I can say, it is important!

And the other one is fish oil and damn, this one is so good. I drink it now for about a week and I already feel the good changes it's doing with me.

Also, for this part, I recommend  - drink a smoothie for breakfast. My work starts at 7am and I am always up at 5am, before I never ate breakfast that early, but when I made myself drink a smoothie at least, it feels different, and you are not so hungry at the day....but it is a topic for another day.

Remember!

Drink your vitamins!!

2. Face care products

This is actually funny story, because these are all the face products that are left ( in Latvia, we have a very strict list of products you can buy and who you can't because of Covid, and many profits that I need...we can't buy) okay yes, these are not the only, there is still make up remover and a tonic, but the story is about these two, because they make my skin feel so much better.

The first one is Dirty Works The Ultimate Detox Mud mask! I use it once a week after a bath and it feel so nice. My facial skin feels fresh and smooth after this. I really suggest this one.

My husband sometimes likes to use face masks as well and even he said that this one is his fav from all the mask I have had. ( he has used like 2 other mask but still :D)

The second one is an absolute favourite The Ordinary oil...Im not actually sure how it's called correctly but it is so good. I apply it after cleaning my face with tonic before night. since I started using it ( I got it for my birthday from my bestie) my skin is glowing and all the red spots have disappeared.

It is absolutely ordinary with no coloraturas and no smell and that's why it is so perfect for my problem skin.

It say that you can also use them for hair, but I haven't yet tried it.

3. Hair

My hair has gone through a lot of damage, in summer I dyed them pearl blonde and even if I love the coloraturas so badly I understood that it is too much stress for my hair. So in autumn I got back to my natural hair colour and try to get back them long and healthy.

So for usual conditioner and masks I also use this serum for the ends of the hair. I am not really sure if I am using it correctly but it helps, I apply it when my hair is still wet and after dying them the ends looks skinny and not fin.

3. Body and everything else

Why everything else? because sometimes it feels like you can use this one for absolutely everything. I use it as a hand creme before night, because I feel like hands needs the max protection in winter. But also this creme is good for facial skin and sometimes I used also like that and for body as well.

There is really not much to say about this one, because it is perfect just the way it is.

So these are the products I use now in the cold days and will use in the next winter as well. I hope you enjoyed reading this one.

Do you use any of these? What are your favourite products for winter?

All the love.

Annie xx

  1. I'm a big fan of supplements at any time of year, I think they're such a help. My go-tos this winter are Vitamin D and cod liver oil, I really feel the difference if I don't take them :)
